Jackpot = Largest payout from a slot machine.
Jackpot Light-Up Board = An electric sign that hangs in a slot machine parlor or gambling establishment and is connected to the slot machines; lights up and a chime rings when a jackpot is hit
Jackpot Payout = Refers to a jackpot, or a portion of a jackpot, that is paid to the player directly by slot employees instead of from the machine hopper; also known as a hand pay.
Jackpot Payout Slip = A document that is used to record the amount of a jackpot paid to the player by slot employees; includes the signatures of the employees involved in the transaction, the amount paid to the player, the machine number and location, the winning combination, and the date.

Joint Bank = Situation in which two players combine their resources and play together off the total sum, sharing in the win or loss.
Joint Venture = A partnership between an organization and host firm, or firms, to finance and manage a cooperatively owned enterprise; often found in Native American casinos.
Joker = An extra card furnished with each fifty-two-card deck and occasionally used as a wild card to represent any card.

Junket = A form of comp in which a group of known and rated gamblers are brought to the casino on an all-inclusive trip paid for by the casino and are expected to participate in a given level of casino action.
Junket Representative = Individual who is responsible for organizing junkets; may be an employee of the casino or an independent agent.
